NEYMAR SHOCKED BY GB

The Brazil international Neymar has said that he is extremely surprised at the way the Team GB was disorganised. Neymar got to play against Team GB in a friendly match at the Riverside stadium. Brazil won the match 2-0 in an extremely convincing fashion. Neymar has said that he is extremely surprised at the way Team GB – who are competing in a major tournament after 40 years – were extremely disorganised. As a result, Neymar has said that he considers Spain and Uruguay to be the real opponents in their attempts to win the first-ever Olympic gold medal.

The Olympic gold medal is the only major medal missing from the trophy cabinet of the five-time world champions. They have been looking to put that record right in various Olympic tournaments, but have been unsuccessful. This year, however, they have a very strong squad. Neymar is one of the high profile players in the Brazil squad for the London Olympics. He is valued at around £ 40 million by his club team Santos. Real Madrid and Barcelona are showing tremendous interest to sign the player, who has become the most wanted since the days of Ronaldo and Ronaldinho. Yet, Neymar has said that he is not focusing on the transfer rumours.

“With them playing at home I thought Team GB could be a potential threat to Brazil for the gold medal. But after playing them I am not so sure that I see it anymore. The feeling amongst Brazil is that they are not a team to be feared. It is not just that Brazil defeated them it is the manner of the way we did it. There did not seem any organisation or flow to their play,” said Neymar. Spain are definitely the favourites to win the Olympic gold medal ahead of Brazil.
