Former Barcelona forward Neymar said that he did not leave the Spanish club because of money.
He said that there are many rumors going around that he left for the French club because he was interested in a greater paycheck but this is not the case. He said that he is at a time of his career where he wants a new challenge and he feels that signing for Paris Saint Germain will be an ideal way to achieve that.
Many pundits have criticized the move stating that Neymar was only behind the money and the Brazilian player believes that it is unfair to do so. He said that he has been attracted by the Paris Saint Germain ambitions of becoming the best team in Europe and that he wants to form part of this objective.

Barcelona playmaker Neymar has been named the most valuable player in the world, according to a report by CIES Football Observatory.
The 25-year old ranked higher than clubmate Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Eden Hazard and Harry Kane.
The research considered several factors such as contract with present club and the status of the club, age, international status, appeal and marketability et al. The study looked at the most desirable players in the top leagues in Europe. Players valued at over £40 million were considered.
Tottenham Hotspur duo of Harry Kane and Dele Alli ranked high on the list due to their impressive results posted for club and country. Alli is the second most valuable, and it is logical considering his age, achievements already and potential. He is estimated to be worth £137 million while his teammate Kane would be around £135 especially if he gets the Three Lions captaincy armband on a permanent basis.
PSG had looked at luring Neymar last year with around £150 million. This report claims the Brazilian is worth around £35 million more than the French giant’s estimation. Ever since Neymar completed his move from Santos to Barcelona and was unveiled as a new player of the Spanish club on June of 2013, there have been a number of transfer investigations and legal issues that have been taking place involving the transfer of the Brazilian player.
There are a number of reasons of why these investigations have been taking place. One of them is the fact that Barcelona appears to have lied concerning on much money was exactly spent in signing Neymar.
The president of Barcelona Josep Maria Bartomeu initially stated that the price tag of Neymar was €57.1 million but it was later discovered that Barcelona had paid around €86.2 million with the parents of Neymar receiving around half of that amount. Brazil and Barcelona forward Neymar said that he seeks to win the Champions League again with Barcelona.
The striker has already won the trophy in his first season with the Spanish club and that that he wants to achieve the same again.
He said that this was an enjoyable experience for him and that he wants to relive it. He stated that it is not good to win it only once in your career and that you need to keep on fighting in order to win it again. The Barcelona forward said that his objective at the moment is to win La Liga and also the Champions League again.
He believes that Barcelona is the right team if you want to win the Champions League again. He said that there are so many players that have won the trophy more than once with the Spanish team and this is what he wants to achieve also.

Spanish giant outfit, Barcelona might lose one of their most prized players to French side, Paris Saint Germain (PSG).
According to a report from ESPN Brazil
, the very talented forward could be set for a summer transfer to the French league as the French champions are in advanced talks with Barça.
PSG are reported to be closing in on a personal agreement with the Brazilian forward. If this happens, PSG will move on to club negotiations, and would be ready to pay as much as €190 million to Barça in order to complete the deal.
Neymar’s own agent, Wagner Ribeiro, revealed that he has been negotiating with PSG officials for over four months, dating back to the FIFA Ballon d’Or Gala last January. The report cited the source as credible especially after the report that came out last month claiming that Neymar’s father met with Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez. It seems like more and more players of Barcelona are being involved with tax fraud and things of this nature as Messi a few months ago was entangled with not paying tax and he was investigated along with his father.
Neymar is the latest player of Barcelona to be linked with allegations of tax fraud. Brazilian tax authorities are believed to be examining documents from the finance ministry and have been taking a look at Neymar’s accounts for over a year.
Federal prosecutors say they hope to file charges in the next few weeks. Authorities have announced that they have already been seeing a mysterious and unnatural cash flow of around 115 million Brazilian raeals which is about €25 million between the years of 2011 and 2014.
In May of 2013, the Brazilian attacker made a switch from Santos to Barcelona for a transfer fee of €57 million but a few weeks after the transfer and everything was completed, there was an investigation made which revealed contradictory information about the transfer.
