BARCELONA MIGHT LOSE NEYMAR TO FRENCH GIANTS PSG

Spanish giant outfit, Barcelona might lose one of their most prized players to French side, Paris Saint Germain (PSG).

According to a report from ESPN Brazil, the very talented forward could be set for a summer transfer to the French league as the French champions are in advanced talks with Barça.

PSG are reported to be closing in on a personal agreement with the Brazilian forward. If this happens, PSG will move on to club negotiations, and would be ready to pay as much as €190 million to Barça in order to complete the deal.

Neymar’s own agent, Wagner Ribeiro, revealed that he has been negotiating with PSG officials for over four months, dating back to the FIFA Ballon d’Or Gala last January. The report cited the source as credible especially after the report that came out last month claiming that Neymar’s father met with Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez. The agent said the meeting was actually with representatives from Les Parisiens.

Ribeiro claimed that the French Champions have offered the biggest salary in world football to convince Neymar to move to France and be the franchise, the replacement to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is set to leave the club this summer. Neymar’s salary in Paris would be bigger than anything Barça can offer, and that is the main reason why the player’s entourage is very interested in the deal.

Other sources corroborated the report as they argued that Neymar’s agents (including his father) are absolutely crazy about money, and will certainly accept any offer that gets them a big commission. This also raises doubts to its veracity as Neymar signed just signed an extension with Barça, and the club will only agree to sell if PSG (or other club) are able to pay €300 million, which is Neymar’s new release clause. The player also had a bond with several players at the club and might not be ready for such a career switch.
