HERRERA HAILS NEYMAR, SAYS HE’S THE NATURAL HEIR TO RONALDO AND MESSI

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Ander Herrera has hailed his Brazilian teammate Neymar, insisting that the former Barcelona man is the natural replacement to Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona maestro Lionel Messi as the best football player in the world. Since Neymar arrived at the Parc des Princes, he has flourished for the French club and is one of their most important players as well.

He has earned himself accolades and personal achievements, as well as team titles with several wonderful individual performances. Neymar has formed a formidable partnership with teammate KylianMbappé at the French capital and both players have proven to be remarkably crucial to PSG’s chase for both domestic and international honors.

While Herrera has spent just two seasons as Neymar’s teammate, he believes he has seen enough to make him believe that the Brazilian superstar is the third-best player in the world and will comfortably succeed Messi and Ronaldo as the best players in the world when the long-serving duo retire.

Speaking to Spanish-based news media outlet EFE, Herrera said Neymar has moved from the top 5 players in the world and is now in the top three. He said the former Santos winger is always improving both on and off the pitch and tries to add some new dimensions to his style of play. According to Herrera, when he arrived at Paris Saint-Germain, Neymar declared that he wanted to leave the club but eventually had his mind changed after being convinced by the club’s owner about the project in place.

The French club will miss the presence of their star attacker as they will be without the Brazilian player when they take on Barcelona in their Round of 16 first-leg clash in the Champions League
